KEIRA KNIGHTLEY is the cover girl for the July issue of InStyle magazine — and ET has your first look!

Shot in a small town just outside of Rome, Keira takes to the camera like a pro, looking like a radiant star. However, she finds the whole high-fashion Hollywood image routine a bit hard to swallow.

“I don’t know why I’m such a scrub, but I am,” she tells InStyle. “I’ve got some great clothes and I’ll put them on, do my makeup and hair, stand in front of the mirror and feel like such an idiot. I feel stupid if I’ve made the effort.”

The young beauty has been acting since childhood, but it was her role in ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ that started turning heads in her direction. Then she blew up the box office, and her career, with ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.’

With the highly-anticipated sequel to ‘Pirates’ hitting theaters July 7, the starlet opens up about co-stars JOHNNY DEPP and ORLANDO BLOOM, even dishing the dirt on who’s the best kisser!

One thing is for certain, this is a girl who knows what she likes, and her taste is low-maintenance. She tells the magazine, “U.K. guys — the ones I know — don’t take as much stock in their appearance. Ask an American guy what his beauty regime is, and he’ll tell you. Ask a Brit, and he’ll say, ‘Er…Guinness [beer]?’ I like that.”
